The Dallas Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred early Saturday morning in the Downtown Dallas area.
Officers responded to the shooting call in the 500 block of N. Akard Street around 2:30 a.m. and determined the man had been shot by an unknown suspect, officials say.
Dallas Fire-Rescue also responded, and the man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
The man was not identified.
Police are currently investigating the shooting, though they have not named a suspect and no arrest has been made.
